Kairao represents a spiritual seed in the language of the Yawanawa people. This seed represents wisdom, self-understanding and connection to the natural world around us.

Honoring our teacher and director, Hushahu Yawanawa, who leads our work here @centro_awavana.

As Hushahu was the first woman to initiate into the spirituality of her people, to study with her is a profound honor and privilege.

Carrying forth the original ways of her tradition, the studies passed on have been carefully preserved in their utmost sacredness.

Each student becomes a carrier of these ancestral ways, and brings these seeds out into the world.

We look forward to our upcoming Samakei group to be held March 30 - May 4 | Join us if you feel the call from within, the songs of the Forest guiding you here. ❤️🌴🪵
